The Academic Motivation Scale--A Sample Excel Spreadsheet with formulas, is a comprehensive tool for educational use. Sample participant responses from my participant survey of college students are included. You may plug in your own survey participant's data. This spreadsheet was set up to calculate data from two groups of participants for comparison. There is a group 1 and a group 2. Each AMS subscale is calculated across the columns. This is the spreadsheet that I used when I downloaded the data from Qualtrics and then plugged into SPSS for analysis. You may alter this spreadsheet to fit your own research needs. The last 2 rows of the spreadsheet have sample calculations that show a self-determination score of -18 and +18 to check the formula. There is no reverse scoring of this data.
